M/Y Danica's premium Awlgrip paint system remained in excellent condition, however regular operation in harsh marine environments and exposure to UV, salt and exhaust contamination meant protecting the finish before deterioration occurred was the priority. The Captain wanted a long-term solution that would preserve gloss, simplify maintenance and extend the life of the existing paint system without compromising its appearance.

Following a detailed inspection, the painted surfaces were professionally machine polished to maximise gloss and clarity before being protected with the Cerashield Marine Coating System. Areas exposed to heavier exhaust contamination received additional protection to improve resistance to soot staining and make ongoing cleaning significantly easier for the crew, while maintaining the yacht's deep, high-gloss finish.
